Bull moose of the Swedish variety seen crossing while we were cruising up
to Sunne from Karlstad, just after my second cousin Stefan told us how they hadn't been seeing many moose these days.

Yesterday's meager windslop session, under sunny skies. Totally expecting more, we settled for what was there.

Trying my hand at some carving.

Truth has it, the forecast for the weekend was looking much bigger and more badass than it turned out to be. Almost like winter was on its way. But when you park yourself along with your buds in the right place at the right time, you might just get it good.

Great bike culture in Sweden. Everyday people in every day clothes riding their everyday bikes in all conditions. Just gettin er done. One of many bicycle photos from the trip.

I pretty much couldn't resist poaching this Dilbert strip that was posted over at Moldy Chum the other day.

And in light of a positive looking surf forecast for Sunday, a little clip with some high style points.

Didn't pause long enough to take any half decent photo's yesterday, mostly cause the stoke was running high and i hadn't been in the water in a long time. A few of us enjoyed several hours of clean lines at a spot that is notoriously unclean and not all that fantastic. Anyways, major stokage all around.

Hit the jump over to SecondGlance to check out some of John's great shots from a session just up the shore from where we were.

A few reasons among many to love fall.

First outright birdy experience for Lutsen. Between thrashing fish and thumping grouse, he was going mental with excitement. Good times.

A week of jet lag and sorryass sickness picked up somewhere between here and Stockholm has finally started to pass and man, is it ever beautiful here. Full on autum ..and windy, windy like it were surf season on the great lakes or something. I'll keep with the shots from Sweden for now, only because there are piles.

Golden chanterelles (Cantharellus cibarius)
Stockholm

I don't like to get all uppity about this stuff but really.. only 59% of all Canadians managed to get out and vote in yesterdays pathetic waste of a $300 million federal election...booo. Even our good friend who was a couple hours from giving birth managed to make it to the polls. Anyways.

Haven't really figured out what to say after spending two weeks in Sweden other than WOW. Roots, culture, history, family, friendly, style, simplicity, art, food...awsomeness. 20 some hours of travel later and a few hours of sleep and back at the home pad. I only took 1,436 photo's while over there, so i might need to do some image management. You can expect a couple more photo's from ''the aspects'' album.

Fall is here, surf's up.
